Performance management is about ensuring senior management have access to the right information and measures to help them accurately understand the state of their business. This includes both financial and non-financial performance data.
This is achieved through the development of effective performance management frameworks, processes and culture based on a system of key business goals and related metrics. These can be used by an organisation to evaluate, monitor and modify its business activities in order to reach its key objectives.
Our approach
- clearly defined strategic goals aligned throughout the organisation;
- high-level “dashboard” performance indicators/metrics in support of the strategic goals;
- a data collection and reporting system; and
- a program for the review and revision of the performance indicators as the organisation grows.
Key outcomes
- meaningful outcome measures and indicators of performance;
- alignment of departmental / unit performance measures with overarching organisation goals;
- timely information on outcomes and outputs, rather than inputs and processes; and
- clear communication of performance expectations to staff.
